ARI Smile is a component that created to gather number of nice image slideshows. Slideshows are presented as modules. We plan to increase the number of available slideshows.

Features:

• Indicate folder in each module to create a slideshow: "path" option. Example: "images/cities" tell module to create slideshow for images in path %Joomla_path%/images/cities
• Customizable modules - number of options. Customize modules behavior and UI effects: duration, border, transition, width, height, buttons, mode, iteration, interval,  direction, etc.
• Works in both Joomla! 1.5 native and Joomla! 1.0.x
• Works in Firefox and its friends; Internet Explorer 6,7; Opera; Safari. IE6 may have some small UI issues since it does not fully support mootools image effects.

ARI Smile contains 8 types of image slideshows for now:

1. Cycling Images - creates image slideshow with cycling effect
For better effect images with the same dimensions should be used
Options:

• path - path to image folder (empty by default)
• duration - the length of transition (500 by default)
• topadd (30 by default)
• leftadd (30 by default)

2. Image menu - creates image slideshow with menu effect
Options:

• path - path to image folder (empty by default)
• duration - the length of transition (400 by default)
• width - container width (500 by default)
• height - container height (200 by default)
• border (0 by default)
• transition - image transition effect (Fx.Transitions.quadOut by default)
• openWidth (200 by default)

3. Noob slide - highly customizable slideshow
Options:

• path - path to image folder (empty by default)
• size (500 by default)
• duration - the length of transition (1000 by default)
• interval (1000 by default)
• transition - image transition effect (empty by default)
• startItem - item index to start with (0 by default)
• autoplay (no by default)
• wait (no by default)
• mode - horizontal/vertical mode (horizontal by default)
• showButton - show play buttons or not (no by default)
• previous - previous button text ('Previous' by default)
• next - next button text ('Next' by default)
• play - play button text ('Play' by default)
• stop - stop button text ('Stop' by default)
• playback - playback button text ('Playback' by default)
• width - container width (480 by default)
• height - container height (180 by default)
• iterations - how many iteration are used to scroll all the images (3 by default)

4. Phafusion. Uses on-the-fly image thumbnail creation (less traffic; cached images).
Options:

• path - path to image folder (empty by default)
• effect - image effect: fade, wipe, slide, random (fade by default)
• duration - the length of transition (2000 by default)
• loading - 'loading' image stored in mod_arismile_phafusion/images folder ('loading.gif' by default)
• transition - image transition effect (Fx.Transitions.quadOut by default)
• direction - the direction of transition: top, right, bottom, left, random (right by default)
• wait - time to wait before going to the next image (5000 by default)
• loop (no by default)
• thumbnailCls - thumbnails CSS clas name ('outline' by default)
• width - thumbnail width (25 by default)
• height - thumbnail height (25 by default)
• containerWidth - container width (450 by default)
• containerHeight - container height (300 by default)
• previous - previous button text ('Previous' by default)
• next - next button text ('Next' by default)
• play - play button text ('Play' by default)
• stop - stop button text ('Stop' by default)

5. Barack slidehow - image slideshow that uses mootools 1.2
For better effect images with the same dimensions should be used; uses mootools 1.2
Options:

• path - path to image folder (empty by default)
• loading - 'loading' text ('Loading...' by default)

6. Yet Another Slideshow
Options:

• path - path to image folder (empty by default)
• margin - margin between slides on scroll transitions (6 by default)
• height - slideshow height in % or px (300px by default)
• width - slideshow width in % or px (300px by default)
• repeat - repeat slideshow or not (true by default)
• timeout - time in milliseconds to wait for a slide to load (1000 by default)
• random - show slides randomly (true by default)
• fontSize- text font size (19 by default)
• color - color (#ffffff by default)
• slideDuration - slide duration (2000 by default)
• transitionDuration - transition duration (3000 by default)
• textBg - text background color (#000000 by default)
• textBgOpacity - text background opacity (0.4 by default)

Options:

• path - path to image folder (empty by default)
• width- slideshow width in px (500 by default)
• height - slideshow height in px (300 by default)
• showCaption - show text captions (true by default)
• showTitleCaption - show title captions (true by default)
• loadingDiv - show progress bar (true by default)
• captionHeight - caption height (50 by default)
• imageResize - allow dynamic image resizing (true by default)
• duration - duration to stay on each image in ms (5000)
• transitionDuration - duration of transition between images in ms (2000 by default)
• transitionDuration - transition duration (3000 by default)
• transitionType - type of transition effect (combo by default)
• pan - Pan (for Pan/Combo transitions): 0 - 100 (50 by default)
• zoom - Zoom (for Zoom/Combo transitions): 0 - 100 (50 by default)
• transition - slide transition effect (Fx.Transitions.Sine.easeInOut by default)

8. Cycle - Many transition effects, ability to scroll content and add text description to be displayed along with images
Options:

• path - path to image folder (empty by default)
• effect - image transition effect (fade by default)
• timeout - milliseconds between slide transitions (0 to disable auto advance)
• continuous - start next transition immediately after current one completes (false by default)
• speed - speed of the transition (1000 by default)
• speedIn - speed of the 'in' transition (null by default)
• speedOut - speed of the 'out' transition (null by default)
• height - container height (auto by default)
• startingSlide - zero-based index of the first slide to be displayed (0 by default)
• sync - true if in/out transitions should occur simultaneously (yes by default)
• random - true for random, false for sequence (not applicable to shuffle fx)
• fit - force slides to fit container (no by default)
• pause - true to enable pause on hover (false by default)
• autostop - true to end slideshow after X transitions (where X == slide count)
• autostopCount - number of transitions (optionally used with autostop to define X)
• delay - additional delay (in ms) for first transition (can be negative)

Usage:

After installing the component please go to ARI Smile->License and provide valid license key. Go to module manager and make sure the module you wish is enabled. Modify the module settings you wish andindicate the path to image folder to create an image slideshow.
