Need some assistance in getting this module configured in new Joomla 1.6 (not beta) live site. Can't find any detailed documentation/manual. So, I fumbled around as best I could per below...

Installed the module (only) without issue. Enabled/published via Module Manager. Opened module for editing config. Changed title to "ARI Cloud Carousel -Awards." Selected my custom template's "Content" module position where articles go for this module to appear. Left all other options at default except lightbox size (800 x 500) and Style size (700 x 200). Entered path and filename of 5 images in Image Path text area ("images/display/filename.jpg"), one each per line. Enabled Use Thumbnails, set size to 100 x 75, and entered "images/ARI_thumbs" as path (created this folder manually with chmod=755, just in case ARI Cloud doesn't do this). Next, I edited "aricloudcarousel.ini" per directions in module help section and saved in "images/display" where the 5 images are. And finally, selected my Awards menu/page in the Menu Assignment section as the only page for the module to display.

ARI Cloud Carousel does not display in the selected Content module where the Awards page/article is displayed, either above/or below the article.

I seen in another thread that you are sending a plugin via email instead of putting it on your website for direct download. I assume this is only needed for Joomla 1.5 as now modules can be placed anywhere in any position in Joomla 1.6. Articles are no longer a special class of content, they've been changed into a module themselves. So one assumes the plugin code isn't necessary for 1.6.

When looking at the HTML source of the page in question, I see no DIV tags to hold the module or script tags pointing to the module's javascripts. So, I assumed something is missing from the install or an additional something is needed, yes?

Even though I've given you 20 times more info, I suspect you'll want to look around the backend as well. Do you need super user or just manager privs?

Awaiting your response. Thanks.

Hello,

Could you provide link to page where we can see this issue and temporary access to your Joomla! backend by email that we can investigate it?

Regards,
ARI Soft

Once more. Thanks for the prompt resolution of finding that I didn't enable modules in my content block. Added the requisite <jdoc:include type="modules" name="content" /> in my index.php and voila! we've got carouselage.

Again, nice module that has some nice config options. I like that it automatically determines reasonable values when zero's are put in the position and radius fields. Also like the auto thumb generation that knows to remake the thumbs if you change the resolution.
