There was a post not so long ago about Cloud Carousel not working in Firefox or Chrome but working ok in IE.
I am assuming that the fix you suggested was not specific to how these browsers handle standards and was more specific to the extensions and template used on that website.

I am using Cloud Carousel at
www.savagespirit.com/index.php/greetings-cards/flowers
and I find that everything works ok in Firefox 3.x and IE (all versions), but does not work in the latest version of Firefox 6.x and Chrome.... ie. I do not see the Carousel at all, just the background.
(I acknowledge that your demo is working in all of these browser versions).

If you can spot anything obviously wrong, I would be grateful for your help.
Or is it the case that unless one has loads of time and web design expertise, it is wise not to use "fancy" features and stick to more traditional methods rather than using fancy modules and plug-ins?
I sort of assumed using Joomla as a base and then templates and modules, that everything would work together.....naive or what!

I am evaluating several of your modules (the ones for Joomla 1.6), and I do not want to be constantly worried that frequent browser updates will cause problems....whether they be with modules, templates or whatever.
Cheers.

Hello,

The carousel doesn't work because it seems you use a WYSIWYG editor when place code for embedding the carousel into an article. WYSIWYG editors adds incorrect HTML code. Open article edit page, switch editor to plain text mode and remove HTML code around cloud carousel.

Now, I know you guys have probably seen this before and you know what you are looking for..... but I still think you are pretty amazing.
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
Checked four different browsers and versions and all working OK.
And thanks for restoring my faith in using modules etc.

I will continue to eval your other modules, although you may need to provide an update on any modules you are making compliant with Joomla 1.6.
Your last update was back in February.

Thanks

And remember everyone...... watch out for WYSIWYG.....!
