I'm trying to decide whether or not to purchase Cloud Carousel Pro and Sexy Lightbox, so am trialing the free versions.

Cloud Carousel works well although I got a bit confused over the format of the ini file (whether or not the fields were bounded by [ ] or quotes - based on what I read in the module description section and what was in the sample). However I've got that working. What I haven't got working is the addition of a background image - can that be in any folder under the Joomla base folder (plus "images") or does it have to be in a sub-folder within the folder containing the carousel images?

I've also tried using Sexy Lightbox Lite with my test but that doesn't work! So I'll have to invest in the commercial version in order to get the titles, description and navigation to show in the expanded image.

If I can get the free version's background to show, I will purchase.

The extension can be integrated with "ARI Sexy Lightbox" extension. It doesn't support integration with "ARI Sexy Lightbox Lite".

About background image, for example if it is <joomla_directory>/images/bg/bg_carousel.jpg image, then populate "Path to background image" parameter with the following value:

images/bg/bg_carousel.jpg

Thanks. That's what I had tried but it didn't seem to be working. Just tried again and it worked! Must have done something wrong the first time, I suppose.

Sorry! But having installed ARI Sexylightbox, I seem unable to get the pop-up window and slide show to work, the image clicked on in the carousel just opens in the same window and I have to click on the back-arrow to return to the carousel web page:

Do I have to do anything else to link the two modules and plug-ins together?

This problem with "mod_lv_enhanced_image_slider" module. It loads own copy of jQuery library instead of using instance of jQuery library which is loaded by Joomla! and it causes javascript error which prevents execution of "ARI Sexy Lightbox" javascript code.

PS: You can see the error in browser's error console.

Thanks. If I turn the "mod_lv_enhanced_image_slider" module off for that test page, sexylightbox works although it doesn't show the title as defined in the Carousel "ini" file.

The module parameters for lv enhanced don't allow you to define jQuery control at all and if I look up the module on Joomla Extensions and try to find an update, the web site is unavailable!

I need a new image slider!
