I have some question to complete a project of mine.

I have table with column:

SURNAME | NAME | ADDRESS | INFO1 | INFO2

I'm using Datatables as output layout.

Now I urgently need:

- I need to avoid thew total record listening and empty value filtering.

- I need to let the search only on the SURNAME column and not on the others.

2. Sorry, but the extension doesn't support ability to sort only by specific column(s).

I load a table from a CSV file. Then it display all the records present using Datatables mode.

What I want to do is to display nothing as a "no records match". Then after a user search i want to display the results and not after every letter but at the end of the entire word.

After this problem is there any way to implement via a sql query modification for example to query only a column, or maybe a datables plugin?

Do you mean "search" provided by "ARI Data Tables" widget? If yes, it is not support described ability. "ARI Data Table" uses client-side sorting and filtering. It doesn't call a SQL query.

Ok but i can load the table and client side not show the results as initial state.

Than clicking a custom button near the search input field i can start the search i need( and intercept if an empty query is performed and avoid it)

How can achieve this behaviour?
Where are the files that handle the showing of the results and the query performed?

The extension supports ability to use request variables in a SQL query. It is possible to create an article with a search HTML form and send parameter(s) from search form to another article with "ARI Data Tables" module and use parameters in a SQL query.
