TOPIC: {$Columns:} & {$Value} - Null Entry from JOIN

{$Columns:} & {$Value} - Null Entry from JOIN 11 Years, 10 Months ago Karma: 5
I have 2 tables joined by a LEFT JOIN
Displaying a column_x resulting from the 2nd table produces values in some rows but others are empty where the LEFT JOIN did not find a match (as expected).

The problem I encounter is when I try to reference column_x in the Format parameter by using either {$Columns:column_x} or {$Value}.

The rows that do have a value from the LEFT JOIN output {$Columns:column_x} or {$Value} correctly, but the rows that did not have a match in the LEFT JOIN (or returned a null value in the column) displays "{$Columns:column_x}" or "{$Value}" in the column instead of displaying nothing.

Is there a way to have the {$Columns:column_x} or {$Value} in the FORMAT parameter return nothing if the JOIN returns nothing?

Thanks,

Trevor

Download and upgrade "ARI Data Tables" module. It should help.
