Using Joomla 2.5.6
I have installed ARI-DT - no problem
Using a template called Academic (JoomlaShack)

Does the POSITION matter?
I have created a page and the POSITION is 'below content'

The module info is beloa....

Under basic options
Include MooTools - NO
Load jQuery method-local copy (?Google CDN)
Include jQuery - Y
jQuery noConflict - Y
Fixed ID - Y
jQuery UI Theme
Show loading pane - No
Loading message
Wanted first to generate simple HTML table

Do I have to enter anything under COLUMN setting?

CHOOSE TABLES - HTML
EXTERNAL DB
SQL
MYSQL
then info re the database

SQL query
SELECT *
FROM `articles`
LIMIT 0 , 30


Do I have to enter anything under
Data transformation
Graph transformation

At the END when I save the
Module mod_aridatatables
IT DOES NOT SAVE!

So there is NO display on the display page

Hello,

Check that "System - ARI Extensions" plugin is installed and enabled. This fact is described in readme.txt file from aridatatables_unzip_first.zip archive.

You can only enter SQL query and use default values for other parameters.

Have installed System - ARI Extensions" plugin.
Still I cannot get a display of the tables

But did this after I saw your advice.
Under the heading ORDERING- I cannot get the ARI Extensions to be the top extension. There is another plug-in Visionary that becomes the top one. Can this effect the functioning of ARI-DT?

Could you provide a link to a page where we can see the problem and a temporary access to your J! backend by email so we can investigate it?

The extension can't connect to external database. It can be a problem with credentials which you entered in module setting.
