Hi

I am try to create the data table to test on a another page from mysql database for a joomla site, I'm I getting this:
no data error
ARI Data Tables: Couldn't connect to external database

I'm on Linux/MYSQL database? Any solution?

Hello,

If you want to show data from external database (not Joomla! database), check that you entered correct connection parameters to the database.

Could you provide a link to a page where we can see the problem and a temporary access to your J! backend by email so we can investigate the problem in more details?

The following error occurs:


Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)


This problem with configuration of MySQL. We can recommend to contact your hosting provider so they investigate the problem.
