When displaying a table with a large number of fields, is it possible to -

1. Scroll the entire grid. In other words of fully displayed the grid would be 1200px and the displayable area is only 900px, show the first 900px of fields and then scroll to the right to see the other 300px?
2. If a field is larger than the allocated area, either by letting the size default or specifying a width in the column area, either scroll the field to see the rest or even truncate? As opposed to word wrap?

You can use "Scroll width" and "Scroll height" parameters for "ARI Data Table" widget (set "Choose table type" parameter to "ARI Data Table").

Is there any way on the individual fields to keep them from wrapping?

Either by truncating. Or, like in a normal joomla text field being able to scroll within the field?

Do you want to truncate values in specific column(s)?

I would word it this way - "I don't want to word wrap in specific columns".

I would prefer -

1. It works like a Joomla form text box where it might display 5 characters but allow you to scroll in the field to see more.
2. But given that is a stretch for a non-editable field, I would say yes. I would want to truncate. Which I guess I could do by changing my select query to just give me a certain number of characters max back. My select in this case is actually of a view. So that would be relatively simple for me to do.

Love the component BTW. Just have to get used to using it.

Here is an example of my issue with grid with. I set scroll width to 900. Trying to get this right. I've tried both auto width yes and no. No difference.
