TOPIC: Form with Subform

Looking in the various forum discussions I could not find a solution for my problem. I hope you can help me here.

I have two tables, kgp_topics and kgp_hyperlinks, which are related by the Id_topic field that exists in both tables. On a page in my Joomla website I want to use ARI Data Tables to display a report of the topics and their related hyperlinks. For this I see two options:

(1) Make a join in the query and display the topics with the joined hyperlinks. This works fine,no problem with ARI Data Tables. The result is a list in which a number of rows is dispayed for each topic and the related hyperlinks, but I see no way to group the output as:
topic1
hyperlink1-1
hyperlink1-2
hyperlink1-3
topic2
hyperlink2-1
topic3
etc.
So my first question is: can I do grouping in this way with ARI DT?

(2) Make a report of topics and a subreport of the related hyperlinks, both on the same webpage. The subreport should then update every time I select a new Id-topic in the main report.
My second question: how can I do this with ARI Data Tables?

Your help would be appreciated.

Thank you very much. This should solve my problem in option 2.

Is there a solution for the grouping problem of my option 1?
I would prefer using that to working with two articles.

A pity, but thanks for your quick response. So I shall have to work with option 2.
