Hi
I am linking to a detail module "names detail" from a data module "names":

So far, the initial "names" module seems to work fine. Let's say it's set up as follows:

id (hidden)
name : format is <a href="index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=24&name={$value}">{$value}</a> recognize links: YES, Self.

SQL Query is just select * from nametable.

So the link opens to an article (24) with a module "names detail" inside. I've tested this and it works fine (e.g. will load other modules OK)

Names Detail is setup like this:


id(hidden)
name: not hidden nothing in format column.
image, email, contact, etc. as other columns.
SQL QUERY is SELECT * FROM nametable WHERE name = {$REQUEST: name}

The table is coming up "no data available". help!? Is there something in the format section of the name column in the detail module that I missed?

Try now please. Use {$REQUEST:gamename} instead of {$REQUEST: gamename}

Just a quick formatting question: the detail tables loaded into an article don't seem to take on the right formatting (module class suffix). Is there something special I need to do to get the module class suffix to work on those modules? thankx
