I prefer to show images from specific folder located on my server, placing plugin code into the article.

Install "ARI Sexy Lightbox" then install "System - ARI Sexy Lightbox Anywhere" plugin. Open plugin settings and set "Load jQuery Method" parameter to "Local copy", "Choose type" parameter to "Image gallery" and "Choose type -> Image gallery -> Layout type" parameter to "Simple gallery" value. Don't forget to enable the plugin and save plugin settings.

For example If you want to show images from <joomla_directory>/images/album folder, add the following plugin code to an article:

Ooops! It still does not work.

Now thumb is showed two time into the article, and images still opens without lightbox.

It can be a conflict with a 3rd party extension. Could you provide a link to a page where the problem occurs and a temporary access to your J! backend by email so we can investigate the problem in more details?
