Hello,
my friend is not in the office today so I took another reservation number (***).
Can you tell me how come I get the error message (ARI Data Tables: Could not connect to external databases.)

I'll explain briefly the situation.
Are within an intranet. I installed on a linux server package joomla.Adesso I want to query a SQL Server database where the database is located.
The machine where it is installed joomla is 192.168.xx while the DB is 192.168.xx I opened the firewall port 1433 and telnet from the machine to the joomla db responds ok.

This is the scenario .... but the module replies that it can not connect to the db. Do you have solutions?

Port can be defined in host parameter. It will look like 192.168.xx.xx:1433

If you want to connect to MS SQL directly ("DB Type" parameter is set to MS SQL), check that MS SQL PHP extension is installed on your web server.
