I installed ARI Data Tables last night. It took several hours of playing around with it to get it to work because of the severe lack of documentation. It finally works, but I've come across some issues.
I linked it to an SQL Database, which works great. But here are the issues I'm having:
I froze the first column so it would remain static while the others scroll. However sometimes the column headers remain completely static while the info slides.
I keep having issues where it's not updating information at all when using pagination and navigation, (next, previous, etc.) It's like it's not loading the additional lines at all and freezing up. Sometimes it's like I have to refresh the site three or four times just to get the extension to work correctly.
On mobile devices, pagination and navigation is not working at all. Frankly, between this and the lack of it being even remotely responsive, this makes the thing useless for my needs, which is really disappointing because it looks so good on the desktop site. (You really need to just outright say that it's not responsive in the extension's description.)
Again, the lack of documentation makes setting it up and issue of trial and error. For someone with little to no experience, figuring it out would be an extreme hassle. I do have experience, and it was a bit of a hassle.
Right now, I have it working on my site. You can check it out
here for now.
