TOPIC: Sorting trouble with international characters

Sorting trouble with international characters 10 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
The Ari Data table sort the Norwegian letters in the following order: "ÅÆØåæø". The correct order should be: "ÆæØøÅå". I believe this is a part of the module, and not the database collation (utf8_general_ci). I tried to change the database collation, but nothing happens. Any idea?

It did not work. However, the web page is under construction and currently off-line. I'll come back when it's online so you can see. However, in general, the Danish and Norwegian alfabeth sorts æøå, while the Swedish and Finish sorts åæø. I guess the problem is in those character sets.

Hi,

That's the problem for me too.
I use 30 different languages in one column of the table and they are all in a different alphabetical order. It puts the letters of the Latin alphabet in good order, but places the accented and unique characters at the end of the line.
How do I set the table column so that the international characters are in good order?
What is the solution?
