I have an extensive database that uses a structured 8 digit coding identification system. The coding is setup that the first 2 digits are a first level identifier, the second 2 digits are a second level identifier, and the next 2 are third level identifiers. The database needs to be setup that if a search is only 2 digits that it only searches the first 2 digits of the id. If 4 digits, it only searches the first 4 digits, etc.

What we want to avoid, for example, is a 2 digit search returning results based on those 2 digits anywhere else past the first 2 digits.

Is this possible with your extension?

I have purchased and successfully installed the Smart Content and Data Tables. It is working perfectly for general searches, but I cannot figure out how to proceed with doing the specialized search that I have described above. If you want to search only by ID like described in your previous post, set "All columns searchable" parameter to "No" in "SQL Query" settings, enter a name of "id" column in "Columns settings -> ID" textbox and set "Columns settings -> Sortable" parameter to "Yes".
