I'm able to connect to the remote db with $ isql -v TS username password now.
Both my web and db server is on unofficial IP's (internal machines)

If you want to have a look I run Teamviewer 10.

My settings backend is:

Source type = SQL
DB type = External database
DB type = ODBC
Host = Driver={SQL Server Native Client 10.0};Server=SERVER;Database=DATABASE;
User = dbuser
Password = dbpassword
DB Name = DATABASE
Persistance = No

(Also tried user/password/db = <blank>)

You can contact your DB and site administrators so they check it. Probably an ODBC source is not registered or incorrect connection parameters are used.

I am the DB and site admin =)

It works great now, just some issues with the local characters (norwegian). My queries in isql looks good, but the module presents the local characters (æøå) as &#65533;.

Are data stored in UTF-8 encoding in a database?
