Hi there,

I'm relatively new to Joomla and just installed ARI Data tables with hopes to convert more different CSV data into different tables for display in Joomla articles. I've already installed the ARI data tables plugin to do this last part.

In terms of just getting started, I'm in the module section and looking at the module parameters page. It looks like there is only one table available to me. Can you please explain how ARI data tables is suppose to work with respect to creating more than one data table? Eg. I have different pages that I would like to display different data tables on. Not simply one data table to be displayed on multiple pages.

I haven't actually tried to use the module yet, because I'm a bit puzzled on how to do so. Also, if the CSV files are not contained in the Joomla directory currently, will I be able to upload this data?

Hopefully you can give me some direction for next steps, your guidance is appreciated.

You can create as many module instance as you want, this is standard Joomla! ability. New module instance can be created for each new table. Open "Extensions -> Module Manager" page on backend and click "Copy" button that create copy of existing module or "New" button that create new module instance from scratch.

Thanks for your responsiveness and clarity. The fact that I can create copies of the module is reassuring. Can you also please confirm that it is typical for me to have each module represent each type of data table I need to create?

Is it common that multiple data tables would warrant multiple modules? Eg. a module for each different data table?

Yes, create new module instance for each new table (for example for tables based on different CSV files or SQL queries).
