As I suspected, it's a Mac issue. Is there a separate style to access the sub menu so I can see if changing the width solves this?

Try to use the next CSS rule:

If it doesn't help, you can investigate page styles with help FireBug plugin for FireFox browser or with help WebInspector (press "Ctrl + Alt + I" in Safari or "Ctrl + Shift + J" in Chrome).
