Hello,
I'm new to Joomla 1.6 and I've installed the ARI Ext Menu successfully. But I dont know how to activate it. I've tried all possible options but nothing happens. Is there a step by step guide or documentation for it?
Thanks.

" Joomla! site templates contain predefined positions for loading modules. You can see this positions if add "tp=1" variable to site URL. For example if your site has URL www.domain.com use the next URL that see module positions:

www.domain.com/index.php?tp=1 "

The point is that I dont know where to go to fulfill this operation. it doesnt seem to be in the extension, module or template managers. Its maybe sounds weird,
but I'm newbie.

Open "Extensions -> Template Manager" page on Joomla! backend, click "Options" button in toolbar, set "Preview Module Positions" parameter to "Enabled" in appeared popup and save settings. After this add "tp=1" parameter to link into a browser that see available module positions. For example if you use the next link that open frontend of your site:

localhost/my_joomla_site/

use the following instead of previous link:

localhost/my_joomla_site/?tp=1

We mean link in a browser address bar.

Thank you so much. I see you trying your best to help me out. I'm using Joomla 1.6 and I did whatever was recommended to do but still I cant give a go to the drop down menu. Right now while I was typing this post I saw at the right hand corner 1.6 compatible extensions. The menu is not listed between them. So I guess I have to wait a bit until you guys will upgrade it from 1.5 to 1.6. Well I'll stay tuned up with upcoming changes.
Thank you again for your efforts.

Sorry, we have missed the extension in Joomla! 1.6 compatible list. "ARI YUI Menu" and "ARI Ext Menu" modules are compatible with Joomla! 1.6.
