You use very old version of the module (v. 1.1.14). You can install the latest of the extension, it provides ability to set color of main menu items and sub-menu items or you can use the next CSS rule to change sub-menu items background:

Hi. I have this problem in my site www.jmd.dengra.es/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=15
I have read many posts but can get no solution.

Hi,
I've read through this thread but nothing seems to help.
Sub-menu under content and Flash banner. Joomla 1.7
beta.aqper.com

Home page, sub-menu behind flash banner.

Click on "Espace mйdias" and you will see the sub-menu behind article title.

I've tried z-index everywhere, overflow:visible and "wmode".
