I just wanted to add an information, not sure something has to be changed, but anyway.
In the template we purchased, the developers occasionally included in the index.php
<jdoc:include type="head" />
two times. The line
Ext.EventManager.on(window, "load", ...
were added two times. This makes Firefox and Chrome cutting sub-menus (the background of the items is too small and the words are wrapped as if the area a little wider, see screenshot). I'm sure about this since I saved html, and deleted line by line in order the menu to work. And when I finally got rid of one of the Evt... the menu started to work correctly
Currently I fixed the template, but if something can be done to prevent from such faults (sure not yours
that would be great
