I was very glad to find ExtMenu because I was looking for a flyout-menu-extension for Joomla 1.7. The module itself is working fine - thanks to the developers!!! - but I have a problem when using it within a split menu. What I want is a horizontal navigation bar with four top level items and an additional vertical navigation bar, which shows the corresponding sub-level items, depending on the active top-item.
But if I set the "Show only active sub-menus" option to "no", all the sub-/second level items are visible, not only those concerning the active top-item. And if I set the option to "yes", the module is only visible on the second level pages but it disappears on any pages deeper in the menu structure. Can anybody help me? Thanks, I really appreciate your help! (Unfortunately I'm a newbie in CSS...)

Do you want to show menu if "Show only active sub-menus" parameter is set to "Yes" and page associated with active menu item is loaded?

What I want is that when I cklick on one of the four top-level-items in the horizontal bar, the ExtMenu with the associated second-level-items (and of course the hidden deeper menu-items) appears in the vertical bar on the left side. And that specific second-level-menus shall show up on any loaded page from itself - the appearance of the menu on any of those sub-pages shall be the same, not depending on the layer.
I tested it with two regular Joomla-mainmenu-modules and there it works. But the regular module shows the whole path with indented menu-items and I hope I can use the flyout-menu for design reasons.
But either all the second-level-items appear and not only those associated with the active main-item or I get that specific (second-level)-menu but it stays only visible when entries of its highest level are clicked. But it disappears on pages called from its deeper flyout structure. Hope, I could explain my problem better now (English is not my first language...).
