"menu alias" as sub menu item problem 13 Years ago Karma: 0
Hello again. Have searched, but couldn't find an answer.

I recently moved a menu item (it's a 'menu alias' and has nine sub menus, also 'menu aliases'). I have found that I have one sub menu item (a 'menu alias') which breaks my site when published in my Ari Ext menu - the front end goes blank and white - but the rest are fine. I have not changed the menu in the german version of my site and it works fine still.

I am very confused by this so I wonder if you can help?

The Ari Ext menu is the horizontal menu in the graphic banner header of the site.

In the english version of the site (www.nicolabathe.co.uk/peaq/index.php/en/) the problem is in the 'Capabilities' drop down menu. The problem sub menu item is 'infrastructure optimisation' which I don't have published as the site breaks and you would see nothing. If you click on Capabilities in the left hand menu, you will see 'infrastructure optimisation' there as a normal menu item.

[If you need to, you can see in the German version that the Capabilities and sub menus are menu items and not menu aliases (the menu items as menu aliases are in the left hand menu). I do not like this arrangement for various reasons so I need it to work the way the english version does.]

Edited to add german version link, just in case: www.nicolabathe.co.uk/peaq/index.php/de/.

Can you help at all? Many thanks.

Update - I've had to get on and fix this so I've added in a new menu item ('menu alias') after trashing the problem menu item and set it up as the previous problem one and it all seems to work fine now. Very puzzling though.
