How to start? Changing Beez5 template 12 Years, 10 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi all. I've just registered since this module has been very reccomended to me to create effective sub-menus.
In this case, I would like to customize Beez5 module, which is a default Joomla! 1.7 module that I really like.

My problem is that I have installed and activated this Ari Ext Menu module but I don't understand how to use it.
I've seen a video where it explains that I just have to create a new menu... but can't I use it to edit a previously created menu? Eg, Beez5 template has a top menu: should I dismiss it and create a new one with Ari Ext Menu?
Is it enough or do I have to edit the Zeez5's CSS file too?

Thanks a lot!

Hello,

Menus are created in Joomla! menu manager. The module just shows a menu created in Joomla! menu manager. Select necessary menu in "Menu name" drop-down on module settings page and assign a module to appropriate module position (it depends on your site template).

Thank you for the answer, but it is not resolutive yet. I did as suggested but I see no change in my website preview (I'm working offline).
What about module position? The template Beez5 already has a standard horizontal menu called "top menu" and it is in position 1: does it has to be the same? I don't understand.

Also, if I set "top menu" module to show sub-voices, they appear just in front of it as two paralallel objects, and I can't click no more on original menu voices. I know that Beez5 is not of your concern, but it would be really appreciated a specific support.

More questions about Beez5 template 12 Years, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
I want to put in the same position, and the same proportions instead of the "font size" selection, a text with links like "contact us" and "learn more"..

How can I do it?
I've tried to change the java script but it doesn't work. (I'm not a professional tho)

hope you can help me....

Hello,

Provide a link to a page where we can see a menu and an image where we can see what do you want to achieve.
