Hi all and thank you for your help.
Joomla! 1.7.3
I am still in the process to get a hold on Joomla!
I have installed on my machine the sample data which comes with Joomla. I have not changed the default template, beez2.
I want to put the ARI Ext Menu in place of the current top menu, which means in the "Top" module.
I have ...
1. Installed the module successfully.
2. I have published the module.
3. In the Module Manager I have selected position-1 as the position (The same as the current Top menu.).
4. In Menu Manager I have created a new menu, called "TopNew"
5. In this newly created menu, I have created 2 menu items for this menu with # as the external url and named them Menu 1 and Menu 2.
6. The menu location for both is TopNew.
7. Under Module assignment I have selected ARI Ext Menu and under Basic Options of ARI Ext Menu I have selected TopNew under "Menu Name".
When I go to view my site, the ARI Ext Menu does not appear, still only the old "Top" Menu.
So, I then unpublish Top and delete the position. (Surely my menu must show now?)
But, it doesn't.
When I go to the Menu Manager, I notice that my new menu, TopNew, is not linked to any modules.
I am sure I have linked it more than once? What must I do to link this menu to the ARI Ext Menu?
Please tell me where I am going wrong? This is driving me nuts. I am sure it must be something simple.
Regards,
Deon
