Hi,

I have downloaded, installed and enabled the Ari Ext Menu, but I can't find any documentation anywhere on how to actually use it!

I want to make my 'Top' menu a horizontal menu with a couple of dropdowns. In the module manager, in Basic Options, I set the menu name to 'Top' menu direction to 'Horizontal', Start Level to 1 and End Level to 5 (it was -1, but I have no idea what that means - I'm playing around with it trying to figure it out).

I've set the Position for the module to 'position 1', which is the position that my 'Top' menu is currently in - is this how I replace the current 'Top' menu with the dropdown menu?

In the 'Menu Assignment' section I have set Module Assignment to 'On all pages' for 'Top'.

When I go into Menu Manager, the 'Modules Linked to the Menu' area for 'Top' just shows 'Top (Public in position-1)'. Shouldn't it show 'Ari Ext Menu' there? When I go into Edit Menu Settings, I can't see any reference to 'Ari Ext Menu' anywhere.


What am I missing? What do I need to do to use this module?

The module uses as standard Joomla! menu module. Some information about it can be found here.

If you have a problem with the module, we can investigate it if you provide a link to a page where you try to use the module and a temporary access to your J! backend by email because we need to see site template module positions, module settings and structure of a menu.
