I tried inserting the CSS stylying in the parameter module settings but it changed both menus.

Humble apologies, I was experimenting with different menus and forgot what was published, very sorry.
The page should now be showing your menus.

Could you enter appropriate custom CSS rules in "CSS Styles" for each menu module so we can see the problem?

Have done that.
As the site is only development I'm not worried about inserting the admin back end details if that helps. user = *** password = *** (I have a back up)
The only difference between the the 2 menus is these 2 images: nav-vert-border.png
and nav-vert-border-blue.png
