I've got a similar issue. I have almost finished styling the ARI Ext menu like I need it to be, but my sub-menu items are hidden behind the image below the menu. I have tried adjusting the z-index to move it higher, but it didn't help.

I also tried the code posted earlier, but i think that was for a horizontal sub-menu. Mine is a vertical pop-down. Any ideas on how to get it to show sub item over the image? Here's the site in-progress.
