I don't know anything about CSS and web-design, and neither do I care.
I just want a simple website that works (and with good security), with a simple menu that works, but with the default Joomla menu submenus doesn't work, so I'm trying various Menu addons.

Now the problem is very easy to see - something is completely wrong with how this menu looks on my website.
But I have no idea what the problem is or what to do about it.

This problem with site template styles for default menu. Add the following CSS rule to "CSS Styles" parameter in module settings:

UL.ux-menu LI
{
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
list-style-type: none;
}
