Hi all!

In joomla 3.1, I am using the ARI Ext Menu. It works fine, so thanks a lot to the developers for this very nice plugin!

But I want to customize it for my needs. And for this purpose, I want to change for example the function:

initMarkup: function()

in the file

menu.js

This file is located at

root/tmp/mod_ariextmenu/source

Of course, I can change the file here for hours and nothing will ever happen, because it is only a temp folder.

So the easy task would be to locate the menu.js file in the root/modules/ariextmenu directory and to customize it there. But it is not located there!

As I am new to joomla, I am not sure about the install routine for templates. I searched for hours in all different files for the needed coded snippet, but I do not find the solution. Maybe the content is hidden/compiled in the files found in root/modules/mod_ariextmenu/mod_ariextmenu/js? But how is it then possible to manipulate these files?

So thanks a lot for any suggestion!

Hello,

menu.js file from "source" folder is original version of <joomla_directory>\modules\mod_ariextmenu\mod_ariextmenu\js\menu.min.js file. If you want to modify it, rename menu.js file to menu.min.js and copy to <joomla_directory>\modules\mod_ariextmenu\mod_ariextmenu\js folder.
