Problem with submenu hover in IE8 14 Years ago Karma: 0
I have two problems with a horizontal menu, one big one small.

BIG PROBLEM
The hover on submenus is working very strangely in IE. Sometimes on the first item will change colour, sometimes you need to move the mouse off the entire menu before hovering on another item. Difficult to explain, but easy to demonstrate at:

89.145.85.11/~gfs1711 (note: menu is at bottom and goes upwards).

I've tried lots of css modifications and scoured the forum but can't work out what to do. Please help!

SMALL PROBLEM
I've got the submenus with a 70% opacity background, but it seems to be making the labels 70% as well (they should be white) and I can't seem to override it (CSS beginner!) Any ideas?

Thanks very much
Eric

Hello,

Regarding your problems:

1. It seems this bug in IE with opacity. If you disable it for IE, sub-menu items will be hovered without problems.

2. It is effect of opacity background.
