Hi there,

I absolutely love how Ari Fancy Lightbox displays.

I am currently building a website for an artist / illustrator. Now the difficulty is to make sense of the navigation between portfolio items and galleries.

I currently build everything with BeTheme, which is flexible enough. I didn't like the lightbox in Betheme, which didn't allow a gallery view, social sharing and deep linking (not so much for Facebook or Twitter, but Pinterest is now obviously the thing to go for).

So I have two gallery pages so far. One using the Masonry grid of Betheme. The other displaying a simple Wordpress Gallery with ARI Fancy Lightbox

Gallery 1 : On hover, there are two choices : open a link to the portfolio item page or showing the image in a lightbox. I deactivated the default Lightbox to have the Ari Fancy Lightbox instead. Unfortunately, I can only display one item and cannot navigate between items. Which pretty much kills the interaction.

Gallery 2 : Ok so here I just uploaded a regular WP gallery (Too bad there won't be any category sorting possibilities, but this seems secondary at this point). AFL displays as it should, however, I now need to make a link between the image in the gallery and the portfolio items. Is there, in any way, a solution to add a button somewhere that would allow the viewer to be redirected to the portfolio item page (which contains further description and "making of" the painting and is necessary to the website as conceptualized) ?

Thanks a lot for your answers !

Hello,

Could you provide a link to a page where we can see gallery #1 which is integrated with "ARI Fancy Lightbox"? We suppose it will be possible to create an add-on for the plugin which will support navigation in BeTheme gallery.

Hi, thanks for this very quick answer.

I am developing the website locally and thus have no link to share atm.
This demo is similar to what I am trying to achieve : themes.muffingroup.com/be/showcase/

So when clicking on the magnifying lens, what it does here : open the lightbox on which you can zoom (good thing), and show pretty much nothing else.

It does exactly the same thing when I switch it to ARI Fancy Lightbox in terms of functionality, since it considers the "featured image" as one image, and does not consider the gallery to its full (but maybe the Ajax tile organisation makes it impossible, I have no idea !)

What would be perfect : Clicking on the magnifying opens the gallery on the image that was clicked on. Then we can navigate between images AND also be able to go the article description that we normally access by clicking on the link icon or on the title.

Not sure if it is clear enough. Would screenshots be a solution to make myself clearer ?

We can create an add-on for the plugin, but we need to have ability to test it. Could you create a test site with a gallery (you can populate it with a fake data) and provide a temporary access to it by email?
