Hello. Is it possible to enable the audience drop-down list in Facebook sharing dialog?


Facebook quotes the following:
"If people are in a browser that is not logged in with a cookie, the drop-down list for choosing the audience for your share doesn't appear.
This is also true if the app uses the feed dialog instead of the share dialog or if the app uses iframe web view."
I don't understand much about these rules.

Hello,

The plugin uses feed dialog when Facebook App ID is specified. You can remove it on "ARI Fancy Lightbox -> Settings -> Share" page, see "Facebook app ID" parameter. In this case sharer dialog will be used. It contains audience drop-down.

Oh yes. That works. But I thought Facebook App iD is necessary for deep linking. The Facebook enable checkbox in the plugin also mentions "Share content on Facebook. Fill Facebook app ID parameter to enable extended functions like define image, title and description in shared message." Can you please explain which functions are lost when we remove the app iD?

We updated the plugin to v. 1.8.1. It contains "Facebook integration -> Dialog type" drop-down on "ARI Fancy Lightbox -> Settings -> Share" page. Select "Share dialog" option. It will work with and without Facebook app ID.

There was a Facebook bug with this audience menu on mobile devices but it got fixed by Facebook today. Please ignore this message
