Yes, that is clear to me.
Thus is why, in my very first description of the problem, I have specified:
I am entering text for all the images I wish shown in lightbox into all 4 fields:
1. Alt - exists
2. Title - exists
3. Caption - exists
4. Description - exists
I am asking you to add the ability TO CHOOSE WHICH ONE will be displayed.
Right now it does NOT display Caption.
I would like to be able to choose whether Title or Caption field is to be displayed.
It makes no sense to place the Caption longer text into Title, alt or description. It only makes sense to be entered into Caption field.
It also makes no sense to go through all the images and replace the text in other fields, just because this lightbox has no option to choose from them.
Other lightboxes do that or just display the Caption - but have other features lacking. Your lightbox has all the right features, it is AWESOME - only it displays the wrong field.
Can you help with this, please?
Thank you,
Vera

Please read our previous message. The plugin attaches the lightbox using images and HTML code which is generated by your gallery plugin. If this plugin doesn't add alt/title/caption/description to produced HTML code then the lightbox can't show then. These attributes should be added by gallery plugin to produced HTML code.

I have read it. In fact, I read this whole conversation. Three times. And there is something I am, probably missing, but I see the following logical sequence here:
Same Elementor.
Same code.
Same images.
Same text
in same fields.
Other lightboxes - show Caption.
YOUR lightbox - doesn't show Caption.
The only thing that is DIFFERENT in that equation is YOUR lightbox. So it appears to me beyond strange to say in that sequence to go to Elementor for the solution - for their code is doing fine with other lightboxes!
I may not be knowledgeable about HTML coding, but I did learn logic, and something just doesn't add up with your logic. Perhaps you can explain to me in simple no-coder English what I am missing here? For I cannot explain it to Elementor, if I go to them now, as it is.
Thank you,
Vera

Could you specify lightbox plugin(s) which work with this gallery plugin as you wish?

Of course.
I used Responsive Lightbox & Gallery plugin. It uses many different lightboxes. The choice working best for me was prettyPhoto, but for other reasons. The Caption text worked with all the lightboxes in it.
Again, to make things perfectly clear:
- Elementor is NOT a gallery plugin. It is a WordPress page builder.
- The lightbox plugin worked "as I wish" only with regards to the text. It did not have other features I wished, which your lightbox does have.
I also tried very briefly a couple more, looking for the right features, before settling on this one, but don't recall precisely which ones.
Thank you,
Vera
