I love this plugin - thanks!

It does nearly everything I want, but I am frustrated that it doesn't use the whole screen on a mobile (unless you zoom in), even in full screen mode. I would like the image to be touching the edges of screen - either top and bottom, or left and right depending on size, portrait/landscape, etc. At the moment there is a large empty space around the whole image, a waste of valuable screen area, imo.

Is there any way I can achieve this?

Yes. Please go here.

Click on any of the images down that page. Either view it on a mobile, or use Chrome Developer Tools to emulate a mobile. Choose any of the mobile models (or "Responsive") and compare between Portrait and Landscape. You'll notice that in portrait the image stretches to the edge of the screen. In landscape there is a large empty area around the image, until you zoom in.

I hope that explains what I mean

Just as a bit of further info, it does the same thing on my desktop, but that is far less of a problem because of the huge screen size, compared to mobile.

It is not clear how the plugin can use these empty area without zoom. The plugin is saving aspect ratio when open images and if try to populate empty space, it need to zoom image or cut it off. It doesn't work in this way.

In full screen mode there is a large empty space around the whole image. On a mobile this is ridiculous waste of screen, and is nothing to do with preserving aspect ratio. Many others are asking how to do this with fancybox.

Please see attached image - the top photo shows what happens immediately after clicking the full-screen icon. Total waste of space around the image. The lower photo shows what should happen. Aspect ratio is the same in both. The whole photo is visible in both.
