Using .CSV File 13 Years, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello,
I'm new to your product and I have a couple of questions about using the .csv file that I downloaded from your site.

1. When typing in file name do I include the extension (ex. image001.jpg)?
2. What directory to I upload the file name to? (can you provide the full path?)

Thanks

Hello,

1. Yes, file name with extension should be placed into the CSV file.

2. Place CSV file into folder with images.

For example if you want to show images from directory <joomla_directory>/images/gallery/ and add titles for the next images:

image_01.jpg
photo_01.png

Place CSV file with the next content into <joomla_directory>/images/gallery/ folder:

"File","Title"
"image_01.jpg","Test image"
"photo_01.png","Another test image"

Hello,

What caption you mean? Do you want to display different titles for thumbnails in gallery view and in the lightbox?

If you use "Simple gallery" layout type and want to remove captions under thumbnails, set "Simple gallery -> Show caption" parameter to "No". If you want to show "Caption" field from CSV file as title for thumbnails, set "Simple gallery -> Caption template" parameter to {$Caption}
