Firstly, thank you for a wonderful slideshow module.

I have everything working and my images are showing up. However, I want to add descriptions for each of my images as each individual image displays in the slideshow. This will enhance the SEO settings/results.

Are there settings in the module parameters for this function or is my only option to add a .ini file to the specific media content folder? If so, please provide a detailed step by step example of how to do this as I have tried but cannot get it to work.

Thanks, I noticed the instructions on the module parameters in the Joomla admin section. I followed those steps but still seem to get stuck. Here they are:

How to use?

"You can also define titles and redirect links for images. For this place INI file with name from 'Description file' parameter in necessary folder with images. Sample INI file you can download here. In [DESCRIPTION] section place image file name and title for image in the following format: [file_name]=[title]. Where [file_name] is image file name and [title] is image title. In [LINK] section place image file name and link for image in the following format: [file_name]=[link]. Where [file_name] is image file name and [link] is image title. If you use non-english characters in INI file, save this file in UTF-8 encoding."

So this is what my text looks like in Notepad:

[PROJECTSGALLERY]
test1.jpg="This is a test description"

Also, when I save the file as .ini then Joomla says the file type is not supported.

What is [PROJECTSGALLERY]? INI file supports [DESCRIPTION], [LINK] and [ALT] sections in INI file.

You can upload INI file to a folder with images by FTP or using a file manager extension like eXtplorer. If you want to use "Media manager", open "Media manager -> Options" page and ini extension to "Component -> Legal Extensions (File Types)" parameter.

Ok I have changed my .ini text file to read as follows:

[DESCRIPTION]
test1.jpg="This is a test description"

It is still not displaying.

Are there any other settings to make sure of in the main ARI module parameter settings?

Where we can see the problem?
