I'm having this same problem. I've read all the forum posts I can, made all the appropriate adjustments (as far as I can tell), and am still feeling stuck.

The .ini file is located in the appropriate images folder, and the pathways follow the correct format.

My slider is not showing any images except for the navigation thumbs (a loading wheel keeps spinning), and when I click the slider it just links to the original image, not the links I created in the .ini file. I'll happily post screenshots or list my url if necessary.

Your INI file has incorrect format. It should contain only one [DESCRIPTION], [ALT] and [LINK] section:

This seems to be working (the lightbox is taking a while to load, so I'll play around with it before I post anything), but the slider is still failing to load the thumbnails (not the navigation thumbnails but the main pictures in the slider). I've enabled the "use thumbnails" option, so what else should I do?

This problem with the following CSS rule in <joomla_directory>/templates/beez_20/css/personal.css file:

}

Add the following CSS rule to fix the problem:

.ari-image-slider a:link,
.ari-image-slider a:visited
{
background: transparent;
}
