Today I tried ARI Image Slider module v1.3.8 on Joomla 1.5.22.

When I view it at frontend, my IE8 browser reported error message :

Code:0
Error:'jQuery' undefined
URL :localhost/22/modules/mod_ariimageslider/mod_ariimageslider/js/jquery.nivo.slider.js


It just show me the first image, no more slide, no link.

I think this is a bug.

Hello,

If you use an extension for optimization of loading of javascript and CSS files, it can be a problem with this extension. We can investigate this problem if you provide link to page where we can see this page. If this site is run only on your local machine, you can open it in a browser, choose 'File -> Save Page As' menu item in browser's menu, choose 'Web page, complete' method, save all files and them by email.

Set "jQuery noConflict" parameter to "Yes".

In fact, I had tried both Yes and No for "jQuery noConflict" parameter before posting here, none can work.

Today I changed this parameter to Yes, now the sliding is working. But, no linking effect. I just used the default ini file and default image path (images/stories/food).

Hope you check it again.

BTW: my php version is 5.3.1, maybe this module does not support PHP 5.3.x?

Have you placed INI file to <joomla_dir>/images/stories/food/ folder on your server? Does "Description file" parameter contain name of INI file? It is ariimageslider.ini by default.
