How to turn off magnifier 5 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello,

Does anyone know how to turn the magnifier off please?

Also, if I choose to keep it on, what should my image size be so that it doesn't lose quality on zooming in (pixels wide by pixels high)?

Many thanks

Hello,

Do you really mean "ARI Magnifier" extension or do you want to disable zoom in "ARI Fancy Lightbox" plugin for WordPress?

Open "Advanced" tab on "ARI Fancy Lightbox -> Settings" page and populate "Custom JS code" parameter with the following code to disable zoom:

Code:

$.fancybox.defaults.clickContent = function() { return false; }

Hi,

I emailed you saying that this code didn't work but I had another go and I put another bracket on the end, which I assume you had left out by mistake. I don't really know much about code, but putting the bracket on the end means that it now works!! Yipee!

Is this completely harmless to my website? If down the road, I change my mind and have better images, can I switch it back on with no problems to my website? Another thing - through playing around with trying to get the zoom to go away, I discovered that it only kicks in when images are big/ over 850 pixels high (on my screen). Does the zoom kick in at a certain image resolution / height pixel size.

Many thanks

Hello,

The code is absolute safe. It just disables zoom when click by an image. BTW, the lightbox adds zoom only when image dimensions is less than browser's size.
