Hi I am a total newbie to ARI Pretty Photo

1. There is nothing from showing up from ARI Pretty Photo when you're in Edit Article - so it is right understood that you have to put code in the HTML my your selft?

2. If it is so where do you put the code in to the HTML when you need a thumbnail to open a lightbox with the Youtube video?

3. What would the code look like?

Pleas help a total HTML dummi

Thanks

Hello,

If you use "ARI Pretty Photo" module, it doesn't enter any HTML code. All parameters can be configured in module settings.

If you use "System - ARI Pretty Photo Anywhere" plugin, it requires to enter simple plugin code. Documentation for the plugin can be found in "Description" on plugin settings page.

If you want to show a YouTube video with help of "System - ARI Pretty Photo Anywhere" plugin, use the next plugin code:

Code:

{ariprettyphoto activeType="rcontent" width="500" height="600" url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyA1dzfKywg" title="Video"}<img src="LINK_TO_IMAGE" />{/ariprettyphoto}

Where LINK_TO_IMAGE is a link to an image. If you use a WYSIWYG editor, switch it to plain text mode before inserting plugin code.

ARI Soft

Maybe a stupid question, but where exactly to put in the code on an HTML page - could you give a give an example?

In any place where you want to show an image which will trigger the lightbox when a user click by the image.

Switch your WYSIWYG editor to plain text mode before inserting plugin code. If it doesn't help, this can be a problem with a 3rd party extension. In this case could you provide a link to a page where we can see the problem and a temporary access to your J! backend by email so we can investigate the problem?
