Hi, I have the ARI Pretty Photo module. It works great except the
gallery thumbnails aren't being generated...

I have GD installed/enabled on my server (could tell by looking at
phpinfo), and i double checked the settings (screenshot attached) its
still not generating the thumbnails, it only re-sizes the large image to thumbnail size (does not generate thumbnails).

The /images/artprettyphoto_tmp/ folder has write permissions (775) but is empty. Any thoughts??

Hello,

The extension saves generated thumbnails to <joomla_directory>/cache or <joomla_directory>/cache/mod_ariprettyphoto (if it exists). Check that "cache" folder has writable permissions.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I've ensured write permissions for the <joomla_directory>/cache and <joomla_directory>/cache/mod_ariprettyphoto (created it)...and i also noticed a folder in the <joomla_directory>/images folder called "artprettyphoto_tmp", so I made sure that was writable also. (i double checked server user/group assignment also).

Cleared my browser cache and refreshed the gallery page, It's still not generating thumbs (just scaling the full-size image).

Is there a way to verify if ARI Pretty Photo has the resources it needs (jQuery, GD, etc..)? Any way to enable error messages?

"ARI Pretty Photo" doesn't create and doesn't use any folders in "images" folder. Probably it is created by another extension.

The extension uses GD or ImageMagik PHP extension to generate thumbnails.

Could you provide a temporary access to your J! backend by email so we can investigate the problem?
