Hello forum and ARI Soft,

here we are studying the use of your component and reached to some doubts:

1) We want to publish opinion quizzes where there are no rigth or wrong answers, so , when defining the "Question Template" we check the option "Disable Question Validation". If we configure this template to be of type "Single Question", it implements radio buttons, thus allowing chosing just one answer. Just what we want! But when we define the questions of a quiz and use the definied template, we are forced to set a correct answer (please, check the images in attached zip file
File Attachment:
File Name: ari_quiz_lite_tests.zip
File Size: 126139
). Another way to have multiple (in our case all) correct answers in by defining "Multiple Question" type but as the type implements checkbox group and allows one to choose more than one answer, it does not fit for our purposes. It seems we will have to go through the code to workaround this. Do you see alternatives?

2) At FAQ there is a nice tip about making a menu to point to a specific quiz but what kind of menu type it must be? If I choose it to be of "ARI Quiz Lite" I am not allowed to touch/edit the "Link" parameter. So, I tried to use an "External Link" type of menu item since that one allows me to set the URL. So I set the URL as [index.php?option=com_ariquizlite&quiz_id=1] but it still shows the listing of all configured/published quizzes just like if the menu was a "ARI Quiz Lite" type.

Thanks for providing us with your nice and powerfull component and for your support.

Hello,

Regarding your questions:

1. 'Disable Question Validation' options means that template will not be validated when an administrator try to save it. This option doesn't use on frontend part. It requires to modify the component that disable validation on frontend.

2. Use 'External Link' menu type and type the following value:

index.php?option=com_ariquizlite&task=quiz&quiz_id=1

Hello ARI Soft.

About the menu item, now it shows a blank page.

The extra "&Itemid=50" is the Id of the menu and is added automatically by Joomla.

Thanks for your feedback.

We can try to help if you provide temporary access to your Joomla! backend by email.
