We're trying to setup a "universal" user for a quiz category, so we can just give out the 1 username and password or customers to take practice tests.

The problem is, since they all share the same username the quiz will save the point where the last user left off. Meaning if 1 user completes 10/30 questions and quits, the next user that logs in starts the quiz where the last left off. We do not want it to function this way, instead, each user should start at the beginning each time.

Is there a way to do this? Or a work around?

Another Idea I had was to let each user log-in anonymously, but the problem is we still want the page where they see the lists of quizzes to be protected, and once they "login" to Joomla, Ari-quiz takes away the option to log in anon. after you login as a Joomla user.

The component stores quiz results based on user id. If share account is used, the extension can't split quiz results. If you guest account, the extension can't identify a user and can't know what results necessary to show to guest user.

PS: The extension restore previous quiz session if it is not completed that quiz session will not lost if a browser crashed, internet connection is dropped and etc.

Thanks for your reply, I understand what the AriQuiz is doing, the problem is it's doing what we need it to do.

I was asking if there is any way around this? Or is there a way to make the quiz reset every time it is viewed? Make it so it doesn't store to the user ID?

Our client doesn't want to create a new user everytime someone wants to take this quiz, so that's is why we need a universal user.

It doesn't make sense because with shared account all users can see results of all quiz takers and the component can't split them.

Yes, it doesn't matter if anyone see's the results, these are just practice quizzes. They are simply there as a test guide for the user, we have the answers show along with the questions anyway.

Guest users can take a quiz at the same time and see results after quiz, but they can't return back later and see results. The extension can show quiz results history for registered users, not for guest users.
