We have groups of registers users, with a team leader for each group.

We want the team leader to receive the results of a participant's test, as well as the participant.

The team leader's email address is stored in each user's Community Builder profile.

Any suggestions?

You can set needed e-mails in 'Send Result To->Email' field on quiz settings page. Or if you want to do this process automatically, you can use ARI Quiz Events plugin which you can find here and add needed PHP code to onEndQuiz handler or you can order custom development of this feature and we'll implement it for you.

This is global for all users? I need results for some participants to be emailed to one address and results for another group sent to another email.

I have downloaded and installed the event handler. in principle I understand what this does, but where do I find documentation for it?

Hello,

1) Yes, it's global setting.

2) If you open ariquizevents.php file, you can find events which supports the component and all parameters which are available for each event handler. In your case, you need place event handler to onEndQuiz function.
