Mail Template with picture 12 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 1
Hi there,

I have set up a Mail Template with a certificate frame border picture in the background of a table inside the email text editor so the results look like a certificate.

It looks great but when we receive the email - the text is in place perfectly but the pictures that make up the background of the table do not come through.

Is there anyway to get the pictures to come through the email? We would like the user to be able to print this certificate for their files. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As always - thank you for your help in advance. This is a wonderful extension and has been working flawlessly for over a year now!!

Hello,

Use full URL instead of relative URL for the image. For example use www.domain.com/images/certificate.jpg URL instead of images/certificate.jpg

Hi there,

So just in case anyone has the same problems as I did in my testing. I have JCE Admin installed on a Joomla site and I had to turn off "Relative URL's" in the JCE configuration in order to have the background image consistently show up in the email.

However, I am down to one last issue.

As the image is set as the background (which includes the frame border and the company headline banner) the rest of the text is inputted into the table cell.

I haven't been able to figure out how to make the certificate maintain the height of 700 pixels even though I have manually defined the width (1031) and Height (700) The generated text keeps moving up on the page when emailed - which then cuts off the bottom of the certificate.

See attachment. The certificate only measures 450 pixels tall.

Any suggestions on how to "lock" the certificate background image into place so when it's emailed it will look consistent no matter the email system? Maybe I am going about this all wrong or something.

I built a 1 x 1 table as additional rows and columns moved the text everywhere in relationship to the background.

Just trying to get a consistent certificate appearance. I wish we could do it as an attachment. But any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks
Colleen

HTML formatting can be changes by your mail client. Try to load background image to <DIV> element.
