TOPIC: Mail Template with picture

Re:Mail Template with picture 11 Years, 11 Months ago Karma: 1
As I am doing research on this topic of email / HTML - I am seeing that there may be no good way to email a certificate inside the email due to what you said about email clients. I was using div tags and the table was set 1 row 1 col as well and it still just cut off as above.

So would there be anyway to have a web page pup up after they have completed and successfully passed the exam? I could set up the image as background and place the text and place holders in place and then when the test is done. That would allow for consistent look and control over a printable certificate. Could this be possible with some extra programming? My client would be happy to pay for such an adjustment to be created. Would you be interested? Or have a suggestion on how to create a PDF file as an attachment to be mailed?

Thank you for your help on this issue. My client really needs a solution to this as he is currently using alot of man hours to manually email certificates - even after the client gets the automated email.

Thanks
Colleen

It is possible to show "Print" button at the end of a quiz and create a text template for print version. Use "Successful Print Template" and "Failed Print Template" parameters in quiz settings for this purpose.

I will give it a try and see how it works.

Does this method allow for saving a copy of the certificate in their Results Page? Or anywhere? Or is it just created dynamically on the spot after the completion of a successful test?

I ask as because if the student doesn't print it out at the time it appears - will they be able to go back and get it from somewhere to print again. I can imagine that this will happen a few times and I want to sort out in advance how to recreate their certificate if they ask for it.

Thank you again - I will go and try this new option!

"Print" button is available at the end of a quiz. Registered users can be results and click "Print" button in any time. When a user clicks by the button, text template will be shown in new window without site template elements like header, footer and other. Users can use browser ability to print the template.

So far so good!! Thank you so much for your help. The tests I have done appear to have everything working as you pointed out.

I created a new template with the certificate in it. Added a new Results Scale template and updated the Mail and Print Template to the new certificate - as I wanted the chapters in the test to have a different type of completion notice than from the last completed chapter test which shows the certificate of the entire exam.

I then changed the settings in the Quiz for the last chapter only and the tests have worked!

I only have to tweak the settings somehow - to polish one last thing.

When you view Results of the Certificate - the Certificate is 1030 pixels wide (for printing) but the sheet width is 960 px so the cert hangs off the edge. Not a huge deal since it in a registered user area only. But I would like to fix this at some point. But when you click on Print the page opens a new tab and there it ready to print through the browser! I had to turn on my Print Background Images in my browser print settings.

So it worked out!! Thank you for sticking with me on this!! I really do appreciate it!! This program and you are really top notch!!

Thank you so much!!!
