TOPIC: Quiz Results Storage Length of Time

Quiz Results Storage Length of Time 11 Years, 9 Months ago Karma: 1
I was just checking the quiz results on my site and realized that quiz results are not complete.

How long does the program keep the quiz results for users? Do they keep them "forever"? Or after a certain amount of time they are purged automatically?

I am only seeing 35 of 375 user results.

I need to know how to to see all of the results for all of the users - recent and old?

I have to keep every users test for archive purposes. Is there a way to do this?

If it is in the database somewhere - where can I find the information to export?

As always,

Thank you so much,
Colleen

Hello,

The extension doesn't delete any quizzes results automatically. Check your cron job in hosting panel, probably it contains script which delete results or an admin of your site deleted results. Check also filers on quizzes results page.

Oh boy

I don't have a cron job going - nothing is set up. I am the administrator and I have not intentionally deleted anything. I rarely look into the quiz results. I was just doing a cross check randomly of subscribers to results - and that's when I saw only 35 results basically from this past August 15th to the present.

I just looked at August 15th in my email and sure enough - I had done an update to the test - and that's when I received an XML error - I posted a question about it on 8/15/2012 and then it corrected itself - so there was nothing or no error for you to review. I had given you access to the site as well and we couldn't replicate the error.

Apparently I thought everything was fine - but I never looked into the quiz results.

If the info was wiped out because of the update and that XML error I had seen - would the information still be in my server back up file??

As long as I know it's somewhere in case we need it - I will worry about extracting from it later.

Maybe the back up has it all - I know I did that at least - I hope at least.

I just realized....

If I delete questions from the quiz and delete the questions form the question bank - in order to update the questions let's say - does that wipe out the quiz results for anyone who took the quizzes with the old questions?

????

Quizzes results are deleted if delete quizzes. If delete questions, quizzes results remain untouched.

PS: Could you send SQL dump of "ARI Quiz" tables by email so we can check what results are stored in database?

Sure I can - if you can walk me through it LOL.....

I just figured out how to export some tables via phpadmin tonight into Excel formatted docs.

I will try right now to do it...
