Change of certificate 11 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi there

How hard would it be to make a workflow, so the certificate (passed or not passed) get shown after the results page...as a html page, so user
can print it..

Mail Certificate is very poorly made, and if you try to make it look nice, a lot of email clients cant show it probely...

Please advise

Hello,

It is possible to use HTML code in text template (which is used for print version) and in mail template. It is also possible to use a WYSIWYG editor for creating formatting without knowledge of HTML.

It is also possible to use different templates for "passed" and "not passed" versions. For this use "Print successful template" and "Print failed template" parameters on "Results settings" tab on quiz settings page.

Hi Ari Soft

Thanks for the answer, an yes you can do all that, BUT our certificates consists of frame, images and text. Email clients works diffenrently and in best case throws the certificate in users spam folders, also you have to right click and download images, and using modern CSS instead of tables, makes it useless for sending by mail, because email clients "Outlook being the worst" dont support html beond IE5.

A simpel redirect to the passed or not passed "mailtemplate" where you have made your css styled certificate, so users can print the page would solve all those problems.

You can add a link to "Print" version to a mail template.

A link to "print" version looks like:

{$ResultsLink}&task=printResults&tmpl=component

Do you want to add a link to "print" version to a mail template or mean something another?
